Les Enseignes Professionnelles is a family business supported by a team of individuals who are qualified, resourceful, proud and in continuous development. The team designs, manufactures and installs a full range of products, such as signs, digital printings, lettering and signage of all kinds. We are the "leaders" in carrying out tailored and personalized projects. Les Enseignes Professionnelles serves the commercial, industrial and institutional sectors throughout Québec.

Corporate History

Les Enseignes Professionnelles is a family-run business which, for thirty years, has distinguished itself by its sense of innovation, keeping it at the forefront of technologies and of manufacturing processes in its field.

Here is a brief retrospective of the last thirty years.


Alain Marchand begins his activities under the name of Le Pro du Pinceau and manufactures signs using the "hand-lettering process". The company is located at 895, rue Thibeau in Cap-de-la-Madeleine and occupies an area of 700 ft², of which half is divided between the family home basement and a small adjoining garage.

In order to buy a delivery van and a projector capable of enlarging drawings and logos, Alain sells his Camaro and motorcycle.


The area devoted to manufacturing goes from 700 ft² to 3 000 ft² with a space of 96 ft² for offices.

Alain's wife, Linda, joins the company and takes responsibility for the administrative tasks. The company is now located at 700, rue St-Laurent in Cap-de-la-Madeleine.

Le Pro du Pinceau buys its first truck equipped with an aerial lift, allowing the company to maintain the signs of its customers and to install its products.

The company decides to use telemarketing to increase its sales in electrical repairs and to offer its customers maintenance contracts. This innovative approach obtains enormous success and contributes to absolutely distinguishing Le Pro du Pinceau from its competitors.


The surface area passes to 9 000 ft², and the company acquires a 14 000 ft² building. A show room and sales office are set up.

Le Pro du Pinceau acquires equipment that is increasingly sophisticated.


Le Pro du Pinceau becomes Les Enseignes Professionnelles.

The company wins the first Radisson for the Prix du produit du Québec (product award of Québec) at the Méritas Gala of the CÉDIC.
A study is conducted in the Mauricie region by the Montreal firm Boisvert, Mizoguchi et Associés inc. The firm classifies Les Enseignes Professionnelles among the 25 largest sign manufacturers in Québec.


Les Enseignes Professionnelles realizes a first in the province of Québec by designing, building and installing a huge electronic billboard of 300 ft², fully computerized, just off Highway 755, a $250 000 project!

During the same year, Alain Marchand is recognized as the businessman of the year by the Cap-de-la-Madeleine Chamber of Commerce.

Les Enseignes Professionnelles wins the Marketing Award at the CÉDIC Méritas Gala for the realization of its electronic message centre. It is also a finalist in four other categories: manufacturing, young entrepreneurs, employment and the business of the year.

The company is approved as meeting the standards of the Canadian Standard Association (CSA) International. These are the quality standards which must be applied to the electrical components in a sign. An inspector visits the plant four times each year to validate that the CSA standards are met.


Les Enseignes Professionnelles moves to new premises located on rue Louis Allyson in the Trois-Rivières industrial park. This new facility, perfectly adapted to the company's production, contributes to the attainment and maintenance of increasingly high levels of performance.


The company advertises itself by erecting a superb double-face sign of 30 ft x 13 ft on the edge of Highway 40. Its strategic position provides exceptional visibility for Les Enseignes Professionnelles and testifies eloquently to its know-how and expertise.


Les Enseignes Professionnelles obtains a contract with Petro-Canada in Nova Scotia for the manufacturing of the highest sign in its category in Canada. It is a double-sided sign with a height of 110 ft, installed in a V shape. It takes three months to construct and is assembled on site by the Les Enseignes Professionnelles team.


The field of signage is rapidly changing. Minds are in overdrive and architects propose plans with more and more revolutionary concepts. For example, the Quartier DIX30 sign located in Brossard is the most imposing in its category within Québec. The manufacturer? Les Enseignes Professionnelles!
It is also in 2006 that the company acquires new technology in printing and digital cutting (CNC). It therefore consolidates its position as the undisputed leader in its field.


Alain and Linda Marchand notice the growing interest of their children in the company. Les Enseignes Professionnelles confirms its status of being a family business. The up-and-coming generation assured, ideas are ambitious, minds full of projects and the future promising!
